Social Housing Maintenance
£18.00 - £22.00 per hour | Ongoing Contract | Immediate Start Available


We are currently recruiting for an experienced Handyman to join a busy social housing maintenance team carrying out repairs and upkeep across residential properties.
This is a fantastic opportunity to secure ongoing work with a well-established contractor delivering maintenance services to housing association and local authority properties.

The Role
As a Handyman, you will be responsible for completing a wide range of general maintenance and repair tasks within occupied and void properties. You will ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard while providing excellent customer service to residents.

Key Responsibilities
Carry out general building repairs and maintenance
Basic carpentry repairs including doors, locks, skirting and ironmongery
Minor plumbing repairs such as changing taps and fixing leaks
Patch plastering and making good
Painting and decorating touch-ups
Fitting and replacing fixtures and fittings
Completing reactive maintenance and planned works
Maintaining clean and safe working areas
Accurately recording completed works

Requirements
Previous experience as a Handyman, Maintenance Operative, Caretaker or Multi Skilled Operative
Experience working within social housing, housing maintenance, facilities management or property services
Good all-round maintenance knowledge
Ability to undertake a variety of basic trade tasks
Own tools preferred
Strong customer service skills
