Your new company

A well established organisation with a growing high street and commercial estate across the UK and Ireland is continuing to expand its Facilities team. Your new role

As a Tradesperson, you will be responsible for delivering high quality reactive and planned maintenance across a portfolio of sites. This is a mobile, home based role covering Greater London, with regular travel to sites and occasional travel outside the region.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Completing basic plumbing, joinery, painting, decorating, and general building repairs
  • Repairing or replacing fixtures and fittings (e.g. doors, locks, hinges, shelving, signage)
  • Undertaking minor electrical tasks where permitted (e.g. changing light fittings)
  • Responding promptly to reactive maintenance requests
  • Assisting with planned preventative maintenance tasks
  • Identifying and reporting defects requiring specialist contractor attendance
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and safe working practices
  • Maintaining accurate records of completed works
  • Keeping tools, stores, and work areas safe and tidy
  • Providing professional and customer focused service at all times

  • Experience using hand tools and power tools safely
  • Good understanding of health & safety practices
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong problem solving and organisational skills
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • CSCS card
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Flexibility to travel regularly across London and occasionally further afield

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Relevant trade qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 2 or equivalent)
  • Facilities management, healthcare, housing, or education experience
  • Basic electrical or plumbing certification
  • Legionella or asbestos awareness training
  • Experience using CAFM or maintenance systems
  • Additional trade skills such as tiling, patch plastering, or basic flooring
