Health & Safety Advisor needed for ~3 months' work in Shetland

Your new company

A leading UK infrastructure contractor delivering complex energy and utilities projects across the country. Known for its commitment to safety, innovation, and sustainability, the company is currently undertaking a major substation development as part of a national energy upgrade.

Your new role

As a Health & Safety Advisor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards on-site. You’ll work closely with project teams and subcontractors to promote a strong safety culture, conduct inspections, deliver briefings, and support safe systems of work throughout the project lifecycle.

What you'll need to succeed

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent)
  • CSCS Card
  • Experience in infrastructure or energy projects, ideally substations
  • Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations and UK H&S legislation
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work on a rotational basis and adapt to site-based environments
