Growth and Content Marketing Strategy Manager | Sports Media | London | £50,000–£60,000 DOE

Your new company

A premium sports media and events company is seeking a Growth & Content Marketing Manager to lead the organisation’s content and growth strategy, with a strong focus on campaign execution and commercial performance. Although titled as a manager, this is the most senior marketing role in the business, responsible for shaping strategy and driving growth across publishing, subscriptions, e‑commerce and events. This opportunity is ideal for an ambitious marketer ready to step up, combining strategic leadership with hands‑on delivery in a creative, fast‑paced environment. The company lives and breathes sport, making this an excellent fit for someone who is genuinely sports‑obsessed.
*This role does not offer sponsorship*

Your new role

You’ll lead on content growth strategy, campaign development and performance marketing across all revenue channels — including digital subscriptions, premium editorial content, events, and a curated retail offering. Working closely with editorial, design, technical and customer teams, you’ll set the roadmap, own the results, and deliver meaningful commercial impact. This is an ideal role for someone ready to step up, operate autonomously, and grow into a wider leadership remit over time. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the company’s growth strategy, owning how the brand scales subscriptions, audience and revenue.
  • Plan and deliver end‑to‑end marketing campaigns, combining creativity, storytelling and strong brand execution.
  • Use data to build and continually optimise the marketing funnel, identifying where and how growth can be accelerated.
  • Run targeted acquisition, retention and CRM campaigns, using segmentation, testing and behavioural insight.
  • Analyse performance across subscriptions, events and e‑commerce to identify trends, opportunities and performance gaps.
  • Create clear reporting dashboards and track KPIs that link directly to commercial outcomes.
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights to shape campaign strategy and business decisions.
  • Work closely with editorial and creative teams to develop content‑led, visually engaging campaigns.
  • Combine creative judgement with analytical rigour to ensure campaigns are both impactful and measurable.
  • Support platform improvements and digital upgrades to enhance user journey and conversion.

What you'll need to succeed

Unfortunately, this role does not offer sponsorship, and to apply you must meet the following requirements:
  • A strong understanding of publishing models and recurring revenue — essential.
  • Sports obsession and experience in the D2C sports environment is a plus.
  • Experience working within subscriptions‑focused, content‑led or media environments.
  • Ability to balance creative campaign thinking with high analytical capability.
  • Comfortable working independently or collaboratively within a small team.
  • A proactive, hands‑on approach — able to lead strategy and deliver campaigns.

What you'll get in return

  • A creative and relaxed working environment.
  • High standards, premium output, and a quality over quantity ethos.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • The opportunity to eventually build out a full marketing team.
  • Hybrid working policy
