Group Financial Accountant - 2 Days on-site Kidlington - Upto £65,000 DOE

Group Financial Accountant – Technical & Compliance Focus
Location: Kidlington, 2/3 days per week onsite
Salary: Circa £60,000 + Excellent Benefits

Overview:
A rapidly growing organisation with a dynamic and entrepreneurial culture is seeking a Group Financial Accountant to join its central finance team. This role is ideal for a technically strong, qualified accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working across reporting, treasury, and tax.

What You'll Be Doing:
Financial Reporting & Compliance
  • Prepare quarterly and annual financial reports to institutional standards
  • Maintain consolidation schedules across multiple group levels
  • Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany account matrices
  • Maintain accounting records for subsidiary and tax structure entities
  • Lead audit queries and liaise with external auditors
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with accounting standards
  • Complete government and regulatory reporting
  • Support insurance renewals with financial data and analysis

Treasury Management
  • Manage bank reconciliations, including client accounts
  • Ensure compliance with banking and RICS client money regulations

Tax Management
  • Oversee indirect and direct tax compliance
  • Submit Group VAT returns under MTD
  • Liaise with external tax advisors and complete ad hoc tax forms

Systems & Projects
  • Support financial systems development and migration initiatives
  • Provide ad hoc support across the finance team, including holiday cover


What We're Looking For:
  • Chartered accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, especially UK GAAP
  • Familiarity with audit procedures and regulatory standards
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset
  • High attention to detail and a collaborative approach
