Flagger/Groundworker

Your new company

We are seeking an experienced Flagger / Groundworker to join our social housing maintenance and repairs team. You will play a key role in delivering high‑quality external works across both occupied homes and void properties, ensuring residents receive a safe, accessible, and well‑maintained environment.


This role involves a variety of groundwork tasks including flagging, slabbing, paving, concrete works, drainage, fencing repairs, and general external maintenance. You will work independently and as part of a wider team, attending scheduled jobs and reactive repairs.

Your new role

  • Install, replace, and repair flags, paving slabs, and block paving.
  • Ensure all groundwork is correctly levelled, compacted, and prepared prior to installation.
  • Complete reinstatement works following utility or repair jobs.
  • Undertake small excavations and groundwork preparation.
  • Pour and finish concrete paths, ramps, steps, and bases.
  • Use PDA/mobile job systems for logging jobs, materials used, and job completion.
  • Maintain clean working areas, removing waste and leaving sites tidy.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Strong background in flagging, paving, and groundwork tasks.
  • Previous experience working within social housing, property maintenance, or domestic repairs (preferred).
  • Ability to carry out small multi‑trade tasks where needed
  • Good understanding of health & safety, site preparation, and reinstatement practices.
  • Full UK driving licence
