Graduate Planning Policy Officer / Planning Policy Officer
Salary: £39,462 – £42,019 (including £2,500 market supplement)
Location: Fleet, Hampshire
Working arrangements: Hybrid (Up to 80% home working)
Full-time (part-time considered) | Permanent
Hays is excited to be working with Hart District Council to recruit a Policy Planner at a pivotal moment in the authority’s planning journey. Hart is about to commence the development of its new Local Plan under the revised plan-making system, making this a particularly exciting time for a planning professional to join the team and help shape the future of the district.

What you will bring
Hart is seeking a motivated and capable candidate, either a recent graduate or someone with some post qualification experience.
The ideal candidate will have:

•An RTPI-accredited qualification or equivalent experience, with eligibility for MRTPI
•Good understanding of planning legislation, policy, and guidance
•Strong research, data analysis, and ICT skills
•Ability to write clearly and concisely, and present information logically
•A proactive and customer-focused approach
•Experience supporting planning policy work and contributing to consultations
•Desire to become a full RTPI member and commitment to professional development
