Your new role
As a Graduate or Junior Geo-Environmental Consultant, you will be involved in a wide range of site investigation and assessment projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Phase 1 and Phase 2 geo-environmental assessments.
- Conducting site walkovers, soil and groundwater sampling, and supervising ground investigations.
- Assisting in the preparation of factual and interpretative reports.
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and regulators.
- Contributing to risk assessments and remediation strategies.
- Working closely with senior consultants and project managers to deliver high-quality technical outputs.
You’ll be based in Hertfordshire, with occasional travel to sites across the UK.
What you'll need to succeed
- A relevant degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Environmental Science, or Physical Geography.
- Either recent graduation or up to 1–2 years of experience in geo-environmental consultancy.
- A good understanding of contaminated land and/or geotechnical principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to site locations.
