Your new company


This company is a leading environmental consultancy firm that provides a wide range of services to support sustainable development. They specialise in offering environmental advice and strategy, embedded design and environmental masterplanning, as well as survey and assessment services.

They operate across several sectors, including air quality, noise, ecology, environmental policy, and economics. They work with both public and private sector clients, delivering high-quality environmental and design consultancy services. Their team of over 100 environmental experts ensures that environmental objectives are integrated into the heart of project designs, promoting sustainable and resilient development. They are doing some excellent work on a range of renewables projects across the UK currently!

I have been to meet them in person at their London office and I can personally say that their culture and work atmosphere is incredible, definitely a fantastic consultancy to work for.


Your new role


Work as part of an established and successful Environmental team. You will have the opportunity to support a variety of projects from a GIS perspective. You will be working in Bristol on office days however, you will have the chance to work from home and perform site visits across the UK.

Main duties would include...

  • Data capture for GIS input to a range of multi-disciplinary projects
  • Perform surveys in varying locations
  • Mapping using GIS software
  • Compiling data for project delivery
  • Mentor junior members of staff
  • Help with development of software / upgrade of current systems


What you'll need to succeed


  • Proven experience in an ecological consultancy (in a UK setting for knowledge of legislation)
  • Experience with GIS and mapping for environmental consultancy (essential)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of relevant UK environmental legislation
  • UK driving license
  • Experience mentoring staff (ideal)
