Hays is working in partnership with a leading utility organisation in Northern Ireland to recruit a GIS Asset Officer. This company plays a vital role in managing infrastructure and delivering essential services to communities. Your new role
- Maintaining and updating GIS systems accurately and efficiently.
- Conducting quality audits and site visits to verify as-laid data.
- Performing data analysis and queries within GIS.
- Managing data extracts and updates for internal and external use.
- Supporting excavation activities by recording network locations.
- Liaising with contractors and internal departments.
- Printing maps and maintaining relevant databases and records.
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum of 4 GCSEs, including English and Maths (Grade C or above).
- Experience using GIS systems.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A full valid UK/EU driving licence.
- A third-level degree involving a GIS module.
- Experience with ESRI ArcGIS and AutoCAD.
- Previous experience using GIS in a utility environment.
