General Foreman - Civils - Water - Highways - Tier 1 Contractor -

Your new company

A leading infrastructure contractor is seeking experienced General Foremen to support the delivery of a major civil engineering project in Leicestershire. Due to a peak in workload, they require additional management support for a 6-month contract period. The project includes a mixture of infrastructure work with opportunities for overtime through extended hours, weekend working and occasional night shifts.


Your new role

As General Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with the project programme. You will coordinate site teams, subcontractors, plant and materials while maintaining high standards of health, safety, quality and productivity.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising operational teams and subcontractors on site

  • Delivering works safely and in accordance with programme requirements

  • Monitoring quality standards and ensuring compliance with site procedures

  • Coordinating labour, plant and material resources

  • Conducting site briefings and maintaining health and safety standards

  • Working closely with Site Agents, engineers and project teams to ensure successful project delivery


What you'll need to succeed

  • CSCS Card (Essential)

  • SMSTS (Essential)

  • First Aid at Work (Essential)

  • Previous experience working as a General Foreman on highways, civil engineering, infrastructure or water projects

  • Experience working within a Tier 1 contractor environment is highly desirable
