A welcoming primary school in Bridgwater is seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact at a pivotal stage in children’s early education.
The Role
As the Year 1 Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
- Create a supportive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
- Use creative approaches to help pupils transition smoothly from EYFS into more structured learning
- Assess and track progress, providing constructive feedback and maintaining accurate records
- Work collaboratively with the KS1 team, support staff and the wider school community
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents

About You
We are looking for a teacher who:
- Holds QTS (or is an ECT with KS1 placement experience)
- Has a solid understanding of the Year 1 curriculum and early reading/phonics
- Brings enthusiasm, patience and positivity to the classroom
- Is confident in behaviour management and fostering positive routines
- Is reflective, proactive and passionate about helping children achieve their best
