Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant – Aspire Pathway – Coventry

Location: Tile Hill, Coventry

Hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday

Contract: Full-time, Temp to Perm after 12 weeks

About the Setting

This specialist education setting in Coventry supports young people with a wide range of learning difficulties and disabilities. The Aspire pathway is designed for learners with more complex needs, including autism, social/emotional challenges, and significant learning difficulties.

Your new role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for learners with complex needs.
  • Assist with personal care and daily routines, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
  • Support learners in developing communication, social interaction, and independence skills.
  • Work closely with teaching staff and the wider specialist team to deliver tailored learning activities.
  • Help create a positive, structured, and inclusive environment that supports both learning and wellbeing.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school, care, or youth work backgrounds considered).
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience.
  • A genuine passion for helping learners with additional needs.
  • Willingness to support with personal care.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of learners.
