Front of House Assistant, 28 hours per week, immediate start available

Your new company
It is a local tourist attraction. The organisation has appointed Hays to recruit a Front of House Assistant to join their team. Working hours will be between 9.30am and 5.00pm on a rota basis, in line with opening days, which are Tuesday to Sunday.


Your new role
As Front of House Assistant, you will assist in the provision of efficient and effective information giving, ticketing and retail sales service to the users of the attraction in the visitor information centre, including the attraction's admission point and shop. In your role as front of house assistant, you will provide all visitors to the attraction with a high quality experience, creating a welcoming atmosphere and providing a high standard of customer care. You will also complete general administration duties including telephone and email enquires, typing, filing and photocopying of correspondence.

What you'll need to succeed
As Front of House Assistant, essentially, you will have a minimum of 2 GCSEs at Grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent) AND 6 months’ experience working as part of an admissions or retail team within a fast-paced, public-facing environment.

OR In the absence of 2 GCSEs at Grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent), 1 years’ experience working as part of an admissions or retail team within a fast-paced, public-facing environment.

You will have experience of utilising a computerised visitor admissions or computerised retail till system. Experience of working within a customer service environment providing a high standard of customer care. Experience of working within a team, and as an individual within a team, demonstrating a high level of self-motivation.
Experience of effectively using a range of IT tools, including Word, Excel and E-Mail.
