Your new role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a key part in delivering commercial excellence across a high-profile infrastructure programme. Working in partnership with
National Highways, their client, you’ll also support internal trading between our Highways and Consulting divisions, ensuring seamless collaboration and commercial clarity.
You’ll be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of projects, with a strong focus on NEC contract administration.

This is a dynamic role that offers exposure to both client-facing and internal commercial environments, ideal for someone looking to broaden their experience and make a tangible impact on national infrastructure.

What you'll need to succeed

  • NEC Contract Experience: Proven understanding of NEC forms of contract, particularly in managing change control, early warnings, and compensation events.
  • Quotation Production: Ability to prepare accurate and timely quotations, ensuring alignment with contract terms and project specifications.
  • Specification Knowledge: Comfortable interpreting technical specifications and translating them into measurable deliverables and cost implications.
  • Method of Measurement: Familiarity with standard methods of measurement to ensure consistency and accuracy in cost planning and valuation.
  • Subcontractor Management: Experience in overseeing subcontractor performance, valuations, and payments, while maintaining strong commercial relationships.
  • Scope Writing Support: Capable of assisting in the development of clear, concise scopes of work that reflect project requirements and commercial objectives.
  • Structures Experience (Desirable): Background in civil or structural engineering projects is a strong advantage, particularly in highways, bridges, or public infrastructure.
