Hours: Mon-Thurs 8.15am-4.30pm, Fri 8.15am-3.15pm
Start date: 3rd November 2025 or 5th January 2026

Our pupils are exceptional. Are you? We are excited to offer the opportunity to join our amazing team on a permanent basis and work with pupils who have a range of Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Forest School Learning Instructor/Teacher to join our dedicated team. This exciting role combines the delivery of high-quality, therapeutic outdoor learning programmes for pupils with SEMH needs across Key Stages 2, 3, and 4, with the leadership and coordination of the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme for our Key Stage 4 pupils. You will be responsible for developing and creating, engaging and inspiring outdoor learning experiences that cater to the specific needs of our pupils, promoting their emotional well-being, social development, and academic progress, alongside guiding and supporting pupils through their DofE journeys.
The successful candidate will develop the Forest School and adventurous activities offered at Quorn Hall School by promoting a love of Forest School learning and continually enhancing the set up across the physical environment. In this exciting role you will also manage and coordinate all aspects of the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme including organising and overseeing DofE expeditions.

Experience and Qualifications
● Experience working with pupils with additional needs, specifically SEMH and Autism (essential)
● Previous experience of the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme at relevant levels (essential)
● A passion for the outdoors and a commitment to providing enriching experiences for young people (essential)
● An ability to successfully build trusting pupil relationships and to motivate pupils
● Qualified teacher status or working towards it (desirable)
● Level 3 Forest School Qualifications (desirable)
● Duke of Edinburgh leader qualifications (desirable)
