Experienced Foreperson for an established, family-run Belfast-based contractor.

Your new company

Recruiting a new Fit Out Foreperson, your new employer is a renowned name within the construction industry, working across a wide range of sectors within a commercial and residential setting from private housing, office, retail, supermarkets, hotels and leisure across the UK and Ireland. With over 40 years’ experience, working for many esteemed clients in both public and private matters, to become one of the industry's leading contractors available.

Due to a large scale fit out project recently awarded, they are seeking an experienced Foreperson to join their team on a permanent basis to help progress the project to hand over and ensure the multiple stages of the program are delivered.

Your new role

This is a role that comes with an immediate start. You will be responsible for all resources and materials available on site as well as the overseeing of personnel on site. You will also ensure health and safety is maintained and quality is upheld as you deliver the project. The initial scheme will be a large-scale office fit out based in Derry, Londonderry and you will need to be able to effectively communicate with site teams and management as well as any different requirements presented to you.

Communication will be an important part, as well as managing all trades on site, being able to lead and show initiative to maintain and drive progress from start to finish. The size of this project will potentially require you to lend your own trade skills throughout different phases of the works.


What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you will have relevant experience in a similar role within a fit out setting and fit out projects. It is preferred that you will have a background in Joinery and hold the relevant tickets associated with supervision / management.
Excellent communication skills to be able to communicate with both client and colleague throughout the project for the different requirements and general day-to-day situations that may arise.
You will need to be immediately available and have a strong eye to detail to ensure the project is being completed within time frame but also to the best possible standards set out.
