**Foreperson Required for Refurbishment Schemes in Belfast – 28/7 Start**
Your new company
Hays NI are pleased to be representing an established Belfast-based building contractor for an initial short-term contract. This company operates across the residential and commercial sectors, led by an experienced senior operational team who are taking the company from strength-to-strength. Operating across mainland GB and Northern Ireland, this company is currently embarking on an 8-week programme of works across two refurbishment schemes in Belfast City Centre.
Your new role
As Foreperson, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of the refurbishment of a residential apartment scheme and a commercial strip-out scheme in Central Belfast. You will be required to oversee the subcontractors and direct labour in order to meet the programme of works. You will be responsible for carrying out audits, inspections and quality control along with undertaking any site inductions as required. You will liaise with senior management, communicating regular progress reports and ensuring the project is kept on track.
What you'll need to succeed
As a successful foreperson, previous experience managing construction or refurbishment projects as Site No.1 is essential, with demonstrable knowledge of the commercial or residential sectors. You will be health & safety focused with good technical knowledge and an eye for detail.
As this is an imminent requirement, you will be finishing up a current project or be available immediately. Furthermore, you must hold a valid CSR (Site Supervisor), CSCS or SMSTS qualification.
What you'll get in return
This is an opportunity for an available foreperson or an individual looking for a contract/freelance-based role to secure work through to Autumn 2025, ideal for any individual based in or commutable to Belfast City Centre. In return, the company offers an attractive hourly rate and possible longer-term work in Northern Ireland following the initial contract.
