Food Technology Teacher

Your new company

A secondary school is seeking a passionate and dynamic Food Technology Teacher with Elements of Design and Technology to join our committed team of educators. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality and engaging lessons to students.

Your new role

- Develop and deliver engaging and challenging lessons in Food Technology and Design and Technology
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Plan and prepare schemes of work, resources, and assessments in line with the National Curriculum and school policies
- Monitor and evaluate students' progress and provide feedback to students and parents/carers
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's curriculum
- Participate in extra-curricular activities and school events

What you'll need to succeed

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Relevant degree in Food Technology or Design and Technology
- Experience teaching Food Technology and/or Design and Technology in a secondary school setting
- Knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment requirements
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons to students of all abilities
- Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills

What you'll get in return

Salary:
The salary range for this position is £30,000 - £46,525 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.

Contract:
This is a permanent, full-time position, starting in September. The working hours are Monday to Friday.

Location:
The school is located near Washington, and the successful candidate will be expected to work on-site.
