Food Tech Teacher | High School | Preston | Interim Cover | Starting after Easter

Hays Education are working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Preston to recruit an inspiring Food Technology Teacher to join their Technology department on an interim basis immediately after the Easter break.


This is an excellent opportunity for a specialist teacher who is passionate about delivering engaging, practical lessons that develop students’ skills and confidence in the kitchen. The role will involve teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Food Technology, planning and delivering high‑quality lessons, and contributing to the wider department where necessary.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential

  • Strong subject knowledge and teaching experience in Food Technology

  • Confidence teaching across KS3 and KS4

  • Ability to deliver creative, safe and well-structured practical sessions

  • A proactive, positive approach to supporting student progress
