Your new role
As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will have full flexibility to choose the days you work—ideal for those seeking work–life balance or a varied teaching experience. Roles include:
  • Daily supply teaching across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
  • Short-term cover for staff absence
  • Long-term placements where stability is required
  • Opportunities to work in both small rural primaries and larger multi‑form entry schools

What you'll need to succeed
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent UK primary teaching qualification
  • Strong classroom management and confidence teaching across EYFS/KS1/KS2
  • Flexibility and a positive, proactive attitude
  • A child‑centred approach, with a passion for helping pupils progress
  • A current DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Hays
