Hays are thrilled to partner with a Top tier Professional services organisation based in Belfast, a market leader in professional practice, for the role of a financial modeller.

Your new role

• Building a new integrated three statement financial model (cash flow, P&L and balance sheet)
• Using the model to forecast the cash funding requirements
• Designing the model to input key site data that is output from the separate DevCo business planning model
• Updating the model for the latest actual historic financial data provided by the management accountants and the latest forecast data provided by departmental heads
• Tracking and forecasting tests and conditions that need to be monitored for a REIT, and to calculate forecast profit distributions
• Developing and maintaining model risk documentation.

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Strong knowledge of industrial and project-oriented companies (long term funding and liabilities)
• Experience of business modelling and Excel
• Strong accounting background with keen sense of business acumen
• Demonstrable analytical capabilities
• Team player who is willing to learn
• Strong presentational and communication skills
• Calm under pressure
• Budgeting and planning process experience (Desirable)
• Experience dealing with long term projects and/or complex corporate structures (Desirable)
• Enjoys working in a small dynamic team (Desirable)
