With a dedicated UK team and the backing of a wider European group, the business is strengthening its internal finance capabilities and bringing more responsibility in‑house. This newly created role is central to that development and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a small, collaborative environment.
Your new role
As the Financial Controller, you will take responsibility for leading and developing the finance function, providing technical expertise and ensuring robust financial governance across the business. In this hands‑on and varied role, you will:
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), ideally with a strong technical grounding and a precise, structured approach to your work. You should be confident in leading audits, producing accurate financial reporting and managing a broad, hands‑on financial remit. Strong communication and leadership skills are important, as you will be supporting and mentoring colleagues within a small team. Experience within a scientific, healthcare or operationally focused environment would be helpful, and familiarity with R&D tax relief processes would be a valuable advantage, though not essential.
