I am currently working with a globally recognised architecture and design company and they are looking for a Financial Controller to support its continued international growth. The business delivers large‑scale projects across multiple continents and offers a diverse, collaborative, and creative working environment.

Your new role

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, your key responsibilities will be:

• Leading and developing a small finance team.
• Overseeing day‑to‑day financial operations and month-end processes.
• Producing consolidated management accounts, forecasts, and financial analysis for senior leadership.
• Managing cashflow, treasury activities, and foreign currency considerations.
• Monitoring WIP and project-related financial performance.
• Supporting international subsidiaries with reporting, compliance, and coordination with external advisors.
• Acting as the primary contact for audit, tax, payroll, and banking relationships.
• Enhancing systems, controls, and processes, with a focus on automation and efficiency.
  
  

  
  

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong senior-level experience gained in an SME. You’ll bring excellent technical accounting skills, the confidence to present financial insights to senior stakeholders, and solid treasury and cashflow exposure. You will be hands‑on, proactive, and comfortable improving processes. Team management experience and Excel proficiency are essential.
