A well-established and rapidly expanding financial services organisation is seeking a Financial Controller to join its London-based Finance team. Your new role
  • Lead daily finance operations with two direct reports
  • Maintain the general ledger in line with UK GAAP, IFRS, and internal policies
  • Conduct analytical reviews and produce monthly financial reports
  • Manage financial risks in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Oversee HMRC filings including corporation tax and VAT
  • Prepare statutory accounts and coordinate external audits
  • Monitor bank reconciliations and maintain cash flow forecasts
  • Collaborate on business projects and financial strategy
  • Deliver regulatory reporting across multiple entities
  • Drive automation and process improvements within financial operations
  • Deputise for the Head of Finance when required
  • Manage liquidity and capital requirements under the ICARA regime

What you'll need to succeed
  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with at least 5 years post-qualification experience
  • Experience in financial control within the financial services sector
  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, tax, and regulatory reporting
  • Team management experience and ability to work cross-functionally
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Analytical mindset with a drive for process improvement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
