Your new role
  • Lead and manage all core financial operations, encompassing reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow oversight
  • Produce monthly management accounts in line with internal policies and external regulatory standards
  • Oversee capital adequacy and regulatory compliance, including preparation and submission of statutory returns (e.g. FCA, IFPR)
  • Collaborate with the CEOs to shape and deliver financial strategies aligned with broader business objectives
  • Present financial performance updates and strategic insights to the Board to inform decision-making
  • Support fee harmonisation initiatives across investment management and financial planning, ensuring structures are commercially sound and compliant
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies to maintain transparency and compliance
  • Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement across finance processes and systems
  • Contribute to M&A evaluations, strategic planning, and investment analysis to support growth initiatives
  • Manage a small finance team providing leadership and oversight
  • Coordinate with the external Company Secretary to ensure statutory register obligations are fulfilled
  • Administer the Company’s Share Incentive Plan (SIP) and executive share option schemes, including HMRC filings and share register maintenance

What you'll need to succeed
  • Qualified, QBE or Finalists
  • Five years of senior-level finance experience in wealth management, asset management, or broader financial services.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing small finance teams, both directly and within matrix structures.
  • Strong understanding of capital adequacy standards and regulatory frameworks, including FCA, IFPR, and MiFID II.
  • Demonstrated expertise in compiling and submitting regulatory returns, with direct engagement with regulatory bodies.
  • Experience in organising and optimising the capital structure of a wealth management business.
  • Prior involvement in projects related to VAT removal and fee restructuring within a regulated environment.
  • Skilled in producing board-level reporting and communicating effectively with executive leadership.
  • Previous support in launching an OEIC and contributing to strategic financial initiatives.
  • Proficient in financial systems and reporting platforms to drive business insight and ensure compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and adaptable approach in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with a high level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
