Financial Controller – Be the Strategic Finance Leader Driving Growth


Are you ready to take ownership of a pivotal finance role that shapes the future of a growing business? We’re looking for a Financial Controller who combines technical excellence with commercial insight to lead our finance function and influence strategic decisions at the highest level. This is more than just numbers – it’s about impact. You’ll be the bridge between the finance team, senior leadership, and the CEO, ensuring financial clarity, compliance, and performance while driving the business forward.
What You’ll Do
  • Lead the Finance Function: Manage and inspire a high-performing team, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Own the Numbers: Take responsibility for budgets, forecasts, and monthly management accounts, delivering timely and accurate reporting.
  • Shape Strategy: Develop business plans and challenge assumptions to ensure robust decision-making.
  • Cash Flow & Compliance: Oversee cash management, tax, audit, and risk processes, maintaining strong relationships with banks and auditors.
  • Drive Best Practice: Implement and maintain policies, controls, and reporting standards that support growth and mitigate risk.
What We’re Looking For
  • Qualified Professional: CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent, with a strong track record in senior finance roles.
  • Strategic Thinker: Able to see the bigger picture while managing the detail.
  • Leadership Skills: Experienced in motivating teams and collaborating across the business.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with ERP/MRP systems, Power BI, and advanced Excel.
  • Problem Solver: Creative and pragmatic approach to complex challenges.
  • Experience within heavy manufacturing/ engineering environment
