We are looking for a talented Financial Controller to join the team and contribute to the ongoing success of the business.
This is an excellent office role Monday - Friday with flexibility.Your new role
- Completing cost analysis for the retail site, including product, material, labour, and packaging costs
- Providing departmental financial analysis and preparing KPI reports
- Building relationships with key departments and linking finance with the business to influence key decisions
- Working closely with the commercial team to analyze customer and product profitability and identify profit improvement opportunities
- Ensuring all costings are signed off before product go-live
- Challenging and influencing the commercial team on customer volume and margin assumptions
- Investigating variances in customer volumes and profitability
- Supporting the retail tender process with accurate inputs and analysis
- Identifying and implementing process improvements
- Adapting reporting to provide fresh insights into the current reporting framework
- Assisting in the completion of annual budgets
- Managing and assisting with ad hoc projects and queries to improve profitability and efficiency
What you'll need to succeed
- A qualification as a Chartered Accountant with at least 3 years of post-qualified experience
- Experience working in industry, particularly in a production environment
- Proven experience in identifying and implementing business process improvements
- Strong IT skills and experience with ERP systems
- A commercial focus and knowledge of business operations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
- Experience managing teams and implementing change
