Financial Accounting Manager - General ledger job opportunity

Your new company

Join a global leader in the service sector that’s undergoing an exciting transformation. As part of their growth journey, they’re investing in their finance function and looking for a dynamic Financial Accounting Manager – General Ledger to play a key role in shaping the future of their finance operations.

Your new role

This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll take ownership of the integrity of financial records across multiple entities. You’ll lead a team of skilled accountants, ensuring accurate and timely close processes, strong internal controls, and full compliance with IFRS and local GAAP. You’ll also be a key player in audit preparation and financial reporting, while championing process improvements across the Record-to-Report cycle.
Your responsibilities will span:

  • Close Management: You’ll ensure general ledger closures are completed accurately and on time.
  • Financial Integrity: You’ll maintain high standards of compliance and oversee robust reconciliations.
  • Audit Coordination: You’ll prepare audit schedules and work closely with external auditors.
  • Team Leadership: You’ll guide and develop your team across areas such as fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and journal entries.
  • Process Optimisation: You’ll drive automation, standardisation, and continuous improvement in accounting operations.
This is a fantastic opportunity to bring structure, lead change, and build a technically strong team that supports the wider finance strategy.

What you'll need to succeed

You’re a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with solid experience in financial accounting leadership. You bring a deep understanding of IFRS and statutory reporting, and you’re confident managing close cycles, reconciliations, accruals, and audits. Experience with ERP systems is a bonus, but not essential — what matters most is your ability to lead, improve, and deliver.

What you'll get in return

You’ll receive a competitive salary and benefits package, along with:

  • Hybrid working options
  • The chance to contribute to exciting transformation projects
  • Opportunities to streamline and improve processes
  • Excellent scope for career progression in a growing organisation
