Your new role

As a Financial Accountant, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting tax compliance across the group. You’ll work closely with the Financial Controller and engage with a range of stakeholders to uphold and enhance the bank’s control environment.

  • Preparing monthly management accounts, reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Supporting the annual report and accounts process
  • Managing the fixed asset register
  • Collaborating with tax advisors on corporation tax returns and compliance
  • Maintaining the Finance team’s risk and controls register
  • Providing audit support and strengthening the control environment
  • Delivering ad hoc analysis for senior stakeholders
  • Coaching and mentoring junior finance staff
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives within Finance


What you'll need to succeed

You’ll be ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with experience in financial services, either in practice or industry. A strong grasp of IFRS and corporation tax is essential, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders. You’ll be proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable challenging processes to drive improvement. Familiarity with banking tools such as Phoebus, ALMIS, Alfa, and Tableau is a plus.
