It is a uniquely run firm that possesses major influence within the investment management space, and this role poses an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant looking to join the team on a temporary basis.

Your new role
The client is looking for a detail-oriented Financial Accountant. Key responsibilities include:

• Month-End Close - Lead and manage the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
• Financial Reporting - Prepare timely and accurate management accounts, statutory accounts, and investor reports in line with IFRS/UK GAAP.
• Regulatory Compliance - Ensure compliance with FCA regulations and support regulatory reporting requirements.
• Tax & Audit - Assist with corporate tax computations, VAT returns, and liaise with external auditors during year-end audits.
• Investment Accounting - Maintain accurate records of investment portfolios, including valuation, income recognition, and performance reporting.
• Process Improvement- Identify and implement improvements to financial systems, controls, and reporting processes.
• Stakeholder Engagement- Collaborate with investment teams, operations, and external advisors to support business initiatives and financial planning.

What you'll need to succeed

• Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Experience in financial accounting within investment management, asset management, or financial services.
• Strong understanding of multi-entity and multi-currency environments.
• Proficient in Excel and financial systems (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar).
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of FCA regulations and investment structures is a plus.
