Financial Accountant, Perm, 2days per week, Co. Armagh

Your new company
We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join our charity and play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance. Reporting directly to the Treasurer, you will be responsible for preparing monthly and annual accounts, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and liaising with auditors to deliver year-end reporting. Your new role
  • Prepare and deliver monthly financial reports, including reconciliation against the budget and prior year.
  • Produce annual accounts and reporting for the AGM.
  • Maintain accurate financial records in line with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Prepare financial statements (income, balance sheet, cash flow).
  • Support co-ordination of forecasts and budgets, collating inputs and preparing reports.
  • Collaborate with the Treasurer to develop financial policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with auditors during year-end reporting.
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects as required.


What you'll need to succeed
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools (Xero experience desirable).
  • Qualified, Part Qualified or QBE considered
  • Strong background in budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a precise approach to work.
  • IT/financial systems experience.
  • Enthusiastic self-starter with the drive to improve processes and solve problems independently.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to build effective partnerships.
  • Ideally, prior experience working within a charity environment.
