Finance Team Leader

Your new company

A leading property company is looking for a Finance Team Leader to join their team. This role is a part-time role at 30 hours a week but full time hours will be considered for the right candidate.

Your new role

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Cashier team.
  • Approve and monitor employee absence requests and Ebis expenses.
  • Train new starters and provide ongoing support.
  • Report monthly cashiering figures.
  • Organise and send out weekly team rota and approve schedules.
  • Ensure effective resource management and cover within the team.
  • Process daily receipts and perform bank reconciliations.
  • Investigate outstanding cash and out-of-date cheques.
  • Approve bank reconciliations and confirm alias acceptance for payments.
  • Meet team targets and maintain high performance.
  • Communicate and manage backlogs with minimal disruption.
  • Arrange monthly team meetings.
  • Perform 1st approval for Natwest banking.
  • Complete staff on-boarding and off-boarding processes.
  • Handle ad hoc cashiering duties.

  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and numeracy with 5+ years of Cashiering/Sales Ledger experience.
  • Team player and leader with project management experience.
  • The ability to work under pressure and make excellent decisions.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word (v-lookups and Pivot Tables).
  • 2+ years of supervisory Cashiering/Sales Ledger experience.
  • Knowledge of accounting procedures, regulatory standards, and compliance.
  • AAT or equivalent qualification is an advantage
