About the Role:We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance Officer to join our school in Tower Hamlets. This is a key role in our administrative team, responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations and ensuring compliance with school financial procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing purchase orders (POs), invoices, and payments
- Managing BACS payments and reconciliation
- Using FMS and Xero for financial tracking and reporting
- Supporting budget monitoring and financial audits
- Liaising with suppliers, staff, and external agencies
- Ensuring accurate and timely financial record-keeping
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience in a school finance role
- Strong working knowledge of FMS, Xero, and financial systems
- Experience with BACS, purchase orders, and invoice processing
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one)
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
