Your new role

As Finance Officer, you will assist in a wide range of financial management duties, ensuring robust systems and controls are in place. Reporting to a Finance Analyst, your responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of budgetary control systems
  • Preparing and inputting approved changes to the budgetary system
  • Assisting with financial reports and variance analysis
  • Creating and maintaining budget reports for managers
  • Providing advice and training to budget holders
  • Completing payroll and non-pay expenditure adjustments
  • Assisting with funding identification and staffing establishment preparation.
This role requires accuracy, analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant finance experience OR Accounting Technician qualification (Level 4) with 2 years’ experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Analytical skills to interpret financial data and communicate findings
  • Full UK driving licence and access to transport
