A growing group of businesses is seeking to appoint a proactive and commercially minded Finance Manager to join their Thirsk-based HQ. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety and is comfortable managing finance across multiple entities.

Your new role

• Manage financial operations: AP/AR, payroll, banking.
• Prepare management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and reports.
• Lead budgeting, planning, and cost control.
• Provide financial analysis to support growth.
• Liaise with auditors, HMRC, lenders, and accountants.
• Strengthen financial controls and processes.
• Deliver timely, accurate financial data for decision-making.
• Supervise and mentor finance/admin staff.
• Support tenders, contracts, and business development.
• Assist with AI tool integration for efficiency.

What you'll get in return

• UK accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, AAT Level 4+) or equivalent.
• Senior finance experience in an SME.
• Skilled in Xero, Sage, QuickBooks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy.
• Excellent communicator and team collaborator.
• Advanced Excel and IT proficiency.
• Self-motivated and independent.
