Job Title: Finance Manager / Job Location: Paisley

Your new company

Hays are delighted to be partnered with a housing association based in Paisley. They are looking for a finance manager to join their team. This permanent role is varied and busy and the organisation are looking for a qualified accountant to join the busy team. The organisation offer a range of project work alongside day-to-day finance duties. The hours of work will be Monday – Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Your new role

You will be reporting to the finance director undertaking a range of duties. These include; managing the organisation's finances, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements, delivering financial services effectively, developing and adhering to financial policies and monitoring performance. You will also lead, manage and train the finance team, ensuring compliance with statutory accounting requirements. You will produce management accountants and ensure year-end accounts are completed to a high standard. You will work with the SLT to prepare the annual budget and supervise the workload of the finance team.

In addition, the organisation are entering phase two of a system implementation, giving you the opportunity to be involved in this interesting project.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a fully qualified or qualified by experience accountant, the organisation is happy to recruit someone qualified, looking for a first move from practice, who is looking for skills progression. Furthermore, you will possess strong communication skills, along with the ability to collaborate with others in a team. You will need to be highly organised and have excellent attention to detail with the ability to prioritise effectively. As the team is going through a system's implementation, you will adapt well to change and be able to utilise a number of systems.
