Your new role

A newly created opportunity has opened for a hands-on Finance Manager to lead day-to-day finance operations and contribute to strategic business initiatives. The successful candidate will manage a small team and partner closely with senior leadership to improve financial processes, reporting, and insight across the business.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general ledger activities
  • Prepare monthly management accounts with commentary
  • Process payroll in line with statutory and internal requirements
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and business planning
  • Support strategic projects such as pricing, system upgrades, and process improvements
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with finance policies and regulations

What you'll need to succeed

This role is ideally suited to a qualified finance professional with strong leadership experience, technical expertise, and a proactive mindset. You'll bring a solid understanding of core finance functions, confidence in data analysis and systems, and the ability to drive improvement while fostering positive team culture. Attention to detail, clear communication, and a collaborative spirit will be key to success. Essential criteria include:

  • Qualified (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
  • Strong experience in finance team leadership, ideally within a fast-paced environment
  • Sound understanding of management accounting, payroll, and financial controls
  • Skilled in Excel and financial modelling
  • Experience supporting business cases and improvement initiatives
  • Comfortable with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and detail-oriented
