Finance Operations Lead

Location: Christchurch (with occasional site travel)
Type: Full-time - hybrid

✨ Purpose
We’re on the hunt for a sharp, driven finance professional to lead our Purchase and Sales Ledger operations and steer core financial reporting. If you thrive on precision, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration, this is your chance to make a real impact. The role requires strong leadership skills, cross-functional collaboration, and a solid understanding of core financial processes.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead a talented team of 5 in managing Purchase & Sales Ledgers
  • Own month-end close, journals, management accounts & reconciliations
  • Oversee fixed assets, intercompany transactions & statutory accounts
  • Drive cash flow forecasting, FX considerations & weekly payment runs
  • Ensure VAT compliance (including postponed VAT) & trade regulations
  • Collaborate across departments to streamline processes & boost accuracy
  • Support audits, maintain balance sheet integrity & improve working capital
  • Champion continuous improvement across finance operations

  • Timely VAT submissions & regulatory compliance
  • A high-performing, motivated finance team
What You Bring

  • CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified
  • Strong IFRS knowledge & experience in manufacturing or stock-driven environments
  • Skilled in ERP systems & advanced Excel
  • Deep understanding of inventory accounting, costing & variance analysis
  • Confident leader with a sharp eye for detail and deadlines
  • Experience in a manufacturing or goods-in/goods-out environment
  • Knowledge of complex VAT scenarios
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and stock management processes

Hybrid working - 3 days office, 2 home
Parking
Salary £65,000 plus benefits
37.5 hours - hours flex around 7.30am - 5.30pm - finish at 1pm on a Friday
