Your new role
As the Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading and enhancing core financial processes and controls. You will be responsible for producing robust management packs, leading regulatory and external reporting, and acting as a key liaison for auditors. Your duties will also include supporting budgeting and forecasting, managing cash flow and hedging, and ensuring the implementation of policies and procedures. You will foster a team culture of growth and collaboration, positioning finance as a crucial business partner while upholding robust governance and control standards.
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you will need to be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with post-qualified experience at a senior level. You should have a strong background in financial management, including experience in a commercial environment and UK PLC reporting exposure, preferably with knowledge of IFRS. Excellent leadership skills, a hands-on approach, and the ability to communicate effectively with non-financial managers are essential. Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills are mandatory, with experience in systems like Business Central, AMOS, Veson, Opera, Power BI, O365 suite, CoreStream, and COGNOS being advantageous.

You will have a hybrid-working pattern of 3 days a week onsite at the Barrow-in-Furness offices, and 2 days from home.
