Job Title: Finance Manager | Job Location: Glasgow

Your new company

You will be working with this fantastic not-for-profit organisation who support a number of service users across Ayrshire and beyond. The organisation support people with disabilities to live how they choose, whilst influencing and enhancing the opportunities available to all and share knowledge, experiences and learning with others. They are currently looking to recruit a Finance Manager on a permanent basis who will support the finance director and the wider senior leadership team.


Your new role

Within this varied role you will be responsible for; assisting the Director of Finance and ICT in providing effective and efficient financial services, advice and guidance, maintaining and developing the accounting system (Sage) and the associated procedures in order to improve efficiency, working with department managers and budget holders, ensuring financial management reporting to the Director of Finance & ICT is timeously delivered to enable strategic and operational decision-making.

You will also work with the Director of ICT, manage the day to day smooth running of the finance department in order to ensure that end-to-end processes are effectively delivered, ensuring that there is adequate service cover within the department at all times. You will also be working with department managers and budget holders, to support the management and monitoring of budgets, of performance outputs and identify and support finance training to budget holders whilst supporting the Director of Finance & ICT in the delivery of management accounting. Working in a small finance team, you will be prepared to take on the various functions of the team and be able to step into other team functions as and when needed.


What you'll need to succeed

You will be an experienced finance professional (ideally qualified via ACCA, CA, ACA, CIMA, CIPFA) and you will have extensive experience working in a finance role within a complex organisation with experience of working in the not for profit space. You will also have experience of strategic financial management and significant technical accounting skills and of financial and budgetary control systems, including accounts preparation to final statutory accounts. In addition, you will have considerable experience of managing budgetary, forecasting and reporting activity and a proven track record of developing and securing excellent business relationships both internally and externally, and a track record in managing people and teams successfully. You will also be an effective communicator at all levels and have stakeholder management experience.
