Your new role
As Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the day-to-day financial operations and supporting the strategic financial sustainability of the organisation. Reporting to the Director of Finance & Resources, you will be responsible for:
  • Preparing monthly management accounts and annual financial statements (FRS 102 & Housing SORP)
  • Leading the annual budgeting process and long-term financial forecasting
  • Managing cash flow, loan covenants, and treasury activities
  • Overseeing financial systems and controls, including process improvements
  • Line managing finance staff and supporting financial literacy across the organisation.
  • Contributing to strategic planning and cross-functional projects
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Proven experience in financial management, ideally within housing, charity, or public sectors
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and governance
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Proficiency in financial systems and Excel
Desirable:
  • Knowledge of the regulatory environment for social housing
  • Experience with Sage 200 and housing management systems
  • Hands-on experience in a small organisation
