12 month FTC - Finance Manager - Liverpool - Public Sector

Prestigious public services organisation in Liverpool offering a 35-hour working week, hybrid working and an excellent employer contribution pension scheme.

Your new role

Reporting to the Finance Director and managing a team of 7 non-qualified and administrative staff. Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Work collaboratively to monitor income and expenditure across relevant business areas
  • Provide trend analysis and forecasts to inform long-term strategic and resource planning
  • Responsible for ensuring appropriate costings for external funding applications
  • Responsible for providing operational KPI reporting to assist with resource planning
  • Supporting the business partnering team to meet stakeholder expectations
  • Oversee all financial transactions to ensure effective financial control
  • Planning and managing the month-end and year-end process
  • Maximise the use of business intelligence
  • Liaise with external auditors

What you'll need to succeed

Qualified accountant with previous team management and business partnering experience. You'll be available to start in September 25.
