Permanent Finance Graduate – Accounts Assistant job with a dynamic, forward-thinking Manchester company.

Finance Graduate – Manchester City Centre
Dynamic and acquisitive company | Permanent role | Excellent career progression.
We anticipate significant growth over the coming years through various projects. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking company and a collaborative finance team, in a business that values ambition and talent.

Role Overview
You will manage a portfolio of project companies, working closely with a Finance Manager on each project. This role offers exposure to a wide range of finance responsibilities and provides full study support for ACCA or CIMA.
This position develops as you progress, so initially you will take control over the accounts payable duties, including managing supplier relationships as well as accounts receivable, controlling payments and liaising with customers. Key responsibility will be in bank reconciliation, monitoring the debt and treasury management as well as VAT and CIS returns. You will also begin to support the month-end closure by processing accruals/prepayments and journals and, as you become more involved, your management accounting duties will increase, though liaising with auditors and assisting at year-end.

What We’re Looking For
  • Strong academic background in finance (degree 2.1 or above), accounting, or related discipline and/or a year’s experience in an accounting position
  • Desire to study or have just started studying ACCA or CIMA
  • Excellent verbal and numerical reasoning skills
  • Ambitious, proactive, and eager to learn

What you'll get in return
Flexible working options available with hybrid working, 2 days from home. You will also receive 25 holidays, full study support, private medical, a contributory pension and much more. Most of all, this is an excellent opportunity if you're looking for a challenging role offering progression, which will complement your studies with a supportive and cohesive team.
