Your new role
The Finance Director will lead financial strategy, governance and operational finance. A key part of the role includes strengthening financial controls, improving reporting and supporting long-term planning.
The position may also include preparing the business for a potential future equity exit, ensuring financial readiness, due-diligence preparation and providing strong commercial insight to senior leadership.
You will work closely with the leadership team to deliver accurate reporting, robust financial planning and effective decision-support within a dynamic SME environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, month-end and financial reporting.
  • Produce accurate management accounts and statutory reporting.
  • Provide financial insight to support strategic and operational decisions.
  • Partner with operations to understand costs, margins and performance.
  • Strengthen processes, controls and financial systems.
  • Support compliance, audit and continuous improvement.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA).
  • Senior finance experience in an SME manufacturing setting.
  • Strong technical capability across reporting, forecasting and analysis.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • High attention to detail and commercial awareness.
  • Experience supporting an equity exit or similar transaction (highly desirable).
