Hays are working with a prominent public sector body in the appointment of a PO4 Finance Business Partner which will reports to: Head of Strategic Financial Management.
The role of Finance Business Partner to join our team and help shape financial strategy and governance across a vital public service.
This is a competitive salary, package in combination with a significant employers pension, genuine flexible working arrangements. This in combination with the opportunity of growth/ ability to pivot within a large Finance Function.
Your new role
- Deliver financial management and governance for specified Directorates
- Provide strategic advice and challenge to senior leadership
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and scenario planning
- Support business planning and development of long-term financial strategies
- Ensure compliance with public sector financial standards and governance
- Contribute to continuous improvement and cultural change in financial management
What you'll need to succeed
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIPFA, CIMA, ICAEW, etc.)
- Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience in management accounting and analysis
- Strong analytical, planning, and communication skills
- Advanced Excel and IT proficiency
- Valid driving licence and access to transport
