Your new role

As a Finance Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the finance team with a range of responsibilities across reporting, analysis, and transactional processes. You’ll assist with month-end duties, ensure accurate financial records, and contribute to budgeting and audit preparation. Your work will help maintain financial integrity and support strategic decision-making across the business.

Key duties include:

Assisting with month-end reporting, including accruals and prepayments
Ensuring timely and accurate financial submissions
Monitoring cost data to support business performance
Processing invoices and expense claims
Maintaining accurate ledger entries and performing reconciliations
Preparing internal recharge documentation and reports
Supporting budgeting and audit processes
Handling VAT returns and resolving supplier/customer queries
Producing ad-hoc financial reports as needed

What you'll need to succeed

• AAT qualification (or working towards it) and experience in a finance support role
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting systems (Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus)
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
