Full-time job | Permanent | Leicestershire | Finance Assistant

I am recruiting two Finance Assistants to join an expanding team based in Leicester. These are full‑time, permanent positions, providing essential administrative and financial support to help ensure the smooth running of multiple settings that support children, young people, and families.

Salary: £26,000 - £29,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm
Flexible Working: Hybrid is available, but the role is predominantly office-based.
Travel: Each post holder will support several sites and must be willing to travel between them within the service area as needed and have access to their own vehicle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage petty cash processes
  • Raise purchase orders
  • Handle invoice administration.
  • Bank reconciliation and monitoring of group and individual budgets
  • Produce accurate financial reports for internal and external use.
  • Support recruitment‑related administration, including handling background check documentation.
  • Contribute to the security and maintenance of premises and vehicles, ensuring systems are safe and compliant.
  • Coordinate diaries, schedule meetings, and support general organisational logistics.
  • Maintain effective filing systems and ensure adherence to data protection requirements.
  • Support delegated responsibilities relating to health and safety and fire safety.

About You

I am looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Strong and diverse financial background
  • Strong Excel skills and the ability to develop and maintain spreadsheets confidently.
  • Experience in office administration with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and related systems.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills, with the ability to complete calculations and produce clear, accurate reports.
  • Experience working with financial processes such as petty cash or budget monitoring.
  • Awareness of health and safety procedures and compliance documentation.
  • Experience supervising or supporting staff members (not essential)
