As the business continues to grow, they are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join the finance team on a 9-month fixed-term contract.

Role Profile
As Finance Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business. You’ll ensure accuracy in financial records, help maintain smooth financial processes, and contribute to a collaborative and high-performing team.

Core Responsibilities
Accounts Payable & Receivable
  • Process supplier invoices and prepare weekly payment runs.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and manage onboarding of new suppliers.
  • Maintain approved vendor list and conduct vendor appraisals
  • Monitor and chase outstanding client payments
  • Handle client queries with professionalism and efficiency
  • Process daily bank transactions
Reconciliation
  • Maintain accurate financial records using Sage
  • Reconcile bank statements, virtual card, and credit card transactions
  • Manage and reconcile large carrier-based accounts
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Support the annual financial audit
Payroll & Expenses
  • Assist with payroll processing
  • Manage employee expense claims
Administrative Support
  • Maintain organised filing systems for financial documentation
  • Respond to finance-related queries from internal teams and external stakeholders

Essential Criteria
  • Previous experience in a finance or accounts assistant role (ideally within an SME or tech environment)
  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Strong Excel skills and keen attention to detail
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Experience working within Microsoft Excel
