Hays Accountancy & Finance are working with our client, a well-established and growing multi-site business with operations across retail, distribution and property sectors, who are seeking a Finance Assistant to join their busy finance team in Belfast. Your new role

• Preparing and maintaining bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
• Producing weekly cashflow reports and financial analysis
• Processing supplier payments and payment journals
• Administering finance agreements and allocating transactions to ledgers
• Assisting with the accounting treatment of loans, asset financing arrangements and foreign currency transactions
• Supporting monthly and year-end financial reporting activities
• Assisting with audit preparation and providing documentation as required
• Contributing to finance process improvements and project work
• Providing administrative and financial support to the wider business when required

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience working within a finance or accounts environment
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong IT literacy
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
• The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment
