Finance Assistant | Rotherham | Permanent Opportunity

Your new company

We’re working exclusively with a growing business based in Rotherham, looking to appoint a Finance Assistant – a permanent opportunity.
Our client is keen to connect with experienced Finance Assistants who are practical, detail-focused, and confident working in a fast-paced finance environment. This is a hands-on role where you'll be involved in a wide range of responsibilities—from payroll and sales ledger to general administration—while also playing a key part in driving process improvements across the team.

Your new role

You’ll be responsible for managing the sales ledger, including invoicing, processing payments, sending statements, and supporting credit control. On the purchase ledger side, you’ll handle invoices, payment runs, supplier setup, and reconciliations. You’ll also support payroll processing, and oversee daily banking activity, cash book postings, petty cash, and expenses.
  • Manage customer invoicing, payments, and account statements
  • Handle supplier invoices, payment runs, and resolve discrepancies
  • Process payroll, pensions, and statutory payments
  • Maintain accurate banking records, including reconciliations and expense claims

What you'll need to succeed

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring solid experience in finance or accounts, along with a sharp eye for detail and a structured way of working. You’ll be confident using Excel and finance systems, and happiest when collaborating with others to get things done. If you're always looking for ways to make things work better and more efficiently, you'll thrive in this role.

What you'll get in return

You’ll be joining a friendly, down-to-earth team that genuinely enjoys working together and supporting one another. Based full-time in the Rotherham office, you’ll benefit from private healthcare, study support to help you grow professionally, and 22 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
